What is Right to Information (RTI) Act full information ?

What is Right to Information Act 2005 -

This is a special kind of law, which originated in the year 2005. The biggest objective of bringing this law was to give the common people the right to question the government. 

With the help of this law, any common person can get any kind of information by registering his RTI in any government office. Every citizen of the country has the right to ask questions to the government.

Why Right to Information Act is Important -

This law can prove to be a very big way to stop corruption. By using it, any person can get various details from government offices. This law is applicable in all the states of India except Jammu and Kashmir. 'J & K RTI' runs in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Almost all constitutional posts are covered under this law, information of which can be obtained. By using this law, a person can submit his application for information from a government institution, to which that government institution has to reply within just 30 days.

  • On the inactivity of institutions : You can also raise questions about the inactivity of any government institution with the help of this law. Note that under this law, you can get a copy of his document from an institution, with the help of which corruption of the institution will be exposed.

Essential Rules related to Right to Information -

Under this, it is necessary to take care of some special things before submitting the application. Here things related to this application are being told.

  • An Indian citizen can submit his application under this. If you are an Indian citizen, you can use it to obtain the necessary information from any government office.

  • Under Right to Information 2005, you can get information from any public authority. All central, state and local institutions come under the public authority, which have been established under the constitution. Applications can also be given to the institutes which run from the center and state conference.

  • Many institutions have been kept out of this act. The Security and Intelligence Agency is excluded from this under Section 24 (1) of the Right to Information.

  • In this application, the applicant has to submit the name of the exact government institution from where the applicant has to obtain the information. It is the job of the applicant to find out from where you will get the application as soon as possible by submitting the application.

  • Along with their application, the applicant also has to send the application fee. This amount is only Rs 10 for any person. If the applicant is below the poverty line, then this fee is not charged. However, below poverty line applicants are required to give their caste certificate along with their application.

  • It is necessary to keep in mind that this fee is different in different states. In many states, this fee is between 8 rupees to 100 rupees.

  • Under this, the applicant gets the result within 30 days. However, if there are urgent documents, the result can be achieved within 48 hours.

  • Its application also gets rejected due to many reasons. If the applicant has not filled things correctly in his application or any kind of detail is incomplete, the application can be rejected. Even if the application amount is given incorrectly, this application can be rejected.
